I have been doing a bit of reading on new products coming out and on Eclair.

i have heard rumours that it will be due out in December, but i was just reading about a leak on the Moto Droid which is due on Oct 28th running 2.0

And would i be right in saying that there will be no 1.7/1.8/1.9 is 2.0 is so close?

im still waiting on 1.6 but im with 3 in Australia and far as i can tell they do not do OTA..
Just wondering if i should stick with 1.5 till 2.0 comes out, saves me getting all my settings back up to scratch.

You won't lose your settings going from 1.5-1.6. It's a pretty seamless upgrade.
