Default Which phone has the best developer support?

I've had my Moto Droid since just after the release and since rooting and ROMing in January, I'm really becoming more obsessed. Cyanogen has had a huge affect (for the better!) on my Android experience. Just curious what phone you guys think has the biggest developer community. (I'm obviously going with DROID ). I'd love to also hear the opinions of those with multiple Android phone experiences.

I can't really say which has the best, but the Eris has a healthy developer community. Some dev's are going above and beyond, and are actually porting 2.2 unofficially to the phone.

Yeah, I try to make an effort to check out the other Root Subforums for other phones to see what's going on. I guess my favorite part is some of the names for the other ROMs and recoveries.

It saddens me that the Captivate didn't even make the list....and for good reason I presume

I imagine the Samsungs will be well supported. I guess it's just a little soon to know. I'm glad there's at least one new phone on Verizon that isn't locked down like the new Motos.

I think it probably is the Nexus One

BUT

ACER LIQUID should make the list. Currently the #3 most discussed Android device on MoDaCo forums (behind T-Mobile Pulse and HTC Hero).

Despite the fact that Acer's kernels are not completely open sourced (not knowledgeable about this, just read it somewhere). Though we have a brilliant kernel mastermind. Him plus some great developers, we have:
-CM6/ASOP (proximity sensor/camera still being worked on)
-FroYo FRF91 (proximity sensor still being worked on)
-Éclair Community ROM by 3 great devs (two of them, one is based on Acer Stream, other on vanilla Android)
-Several other Éclair based ROMs (lots of them).
-Several themes
-Overclocking, WiFi Tethering, the whole shebang

Don't really think I would like my phone without this development community.
