Footmouth syncing with ms excel

I created a monthly expense calendar in excel and would like to be able to make updates to it from my phone. For example if I go out to eat I would like to be able to enter the amount I spend on that day in my excel calendar on my phone and when I open th document on my computer have show the entry automatically. Essentially I'm trying to sync an excel document between my phone and computer. Any thoughts?

Thanks

Assuming you are on a phone that has an app that can modify excel spreadsheets, put the spreadsheet into a DropBox folder, so you can get to it both from your phone and your PC.

At the risk of sounding dumb, what exactly is a drop box folder, and how would I go about doing that?

Sorry, was in a hurry when I posted.

Dropbox is an application that lets you easily share files between PCs, or between PCs and phones. You can check it out here: https://www.dropbox.com/

You would place your spreadsheet in your dropbox folder, then open the dropbox application on your Android phone, tap it and the file will be downloaded to your phone and the appropriate application will be started.

I use Dropbox to transfer all kinds of files between my PC and my phone: Android applications, spreadsheets, word documents, images, mp3s, etc.

I don't have an application on my phone that lets me edit spreadsheets or word docs, so I just use it for viewing only.

Dropbox is one of the most handy applications I have found. It is free for up to a certain amount of data (I forget how much); if you need more space, you can pay for it.

Hope this helps,

jd

Thanks, that sounds like it should do what I'm looking for, I'll give it a shot.

This is exactly what I need to do, but what app would I use to modify excel spread sheets? If there's not one that's native to my phone can I get one from the Market? I have an Evo. I'm diabetic and just need a very simple way to enter my glucose levels and foods eaten when out to my excel spreadsheet at home on my pc.

Thank you!

Documents to go is in the Market. It allows creating and editing word and excel docs. It also has a Google docs feature so you can put your docs in Google docs and edit them from your device.

Google also said the GoggleDocs will be editable on 2.2 and later phones. It hasn't showed up yet on my phone, but soon, I guess...
