Out of the 20 reasons list there are really only a few that are real advantages.

Companies are required to release the source code of their Android OS build vs. no source for apple OS

You can change launcher/home screen without needing root.
actually generalize that/

You aren't forced to use the default 'core function apps'. ( you can go to market and get handcent, lP, ADW etc.)

Glass is scratch resistant. I don't need my keys to be scratch resistant. Thanks for the irrelevant analogy though.

You can intall apps in the background, and the market doesn't kick you out every time you install an app.

You don't have to put in your password for free apps.

More free apps in market than apple's app store.

So what? My coworkers Evo shattered too when he dropped it. It's not as fragile cause it has a plastic back, but it will shatter nonetheless. I'll take a glass back over a plastic one that'll look like a wolverine attacked it

Agreed, glass, especially gorilla glass Is far far better than polycarbonate for a phone screen.
Polycarbonate sucks because it gets so horribly scratched up compared to glass that is much harder to scratch.

Well i just think you missed the point, would you go playing in a all glass shoes or live in a all glass house..we all know at some point everyone drop their phone so you make a product all glass thats use on a daily is just a set up for damage, better yet a scheme to take advantage of the gullible folks out there.

What do glass shoes or a glass house have to do with anything? All top smartphones have glass now, maybe they're more resistant to shattering, but it can still happen. I still prefer a glass back for its scratch resistance over plastic.
