Im going to get my first android phone soon but i live in a country where paid apps aren't available. I've heard of apps like MarketEnabler and MarketAccess which enable the market, but more recently i've read that using a T-Mobile sim card will activate the market paid apps.

Does anybody here do this? I think this route is better than using those apps because the apps change certain carrier settings. Browsing ebay i could get a sim for 1 pound or less.

So does anyone here do this?

I use marketaccess to get paid apps. It works well and i can browse and buy paid apps. Keep in mind though that you'll need to root your phone to be able to use marketaccess.

Can't really comment about using the t-mobile sim though as i've not used it.
