Lol my bad, I'm a newbie. Okay, so I downloaded it via the link, but when I go to set as, it only has 3 options, and none are notifications. How do I set it for text messages?
Yes there are 3 options, Voice call ringtone, Caller ringtone, and Alarm tone; but there is no option for text messaging or notifications. And what's the difference between voice call and caller ringtone?
Device(s): Evo 3D & 4G, Epic Touch, Epic 4G slide, Captivate. (Moment, LG Optimus S, Vibrant)

Did you open your SMS app first before clicking on "Menu > Settings" ?
If not, check there first.
And check the standard "menu > sounds & display" as well.
No idea what the diff is between voice call & caller ringtone - you'd think they'd be the same... maybe caller ringtone is to assign the sound to a specific contact only, vs the voice call - assign to all callers...
You're trying to assign the sound by long pressing on the droid file itself. To set it as a text ringtone, follow my suggestions above.

This is going to sound ridiculous, but where is the SMS app? I downloaded the ringtone from a website, and it went straight into my music. So also, where would I find the original downloaded file to long press it?
Yeah I figured that what you were talking about. I figured it out yesterday though. It was in My Files/download, and I had to move it to My Files/Media/audio/notifications, then it appeared on my notifications ringtone list. I actually slowed it down, it sounds pretty cool IMO.
