Default Transferring SMS to computer??

Is there a way to transfer SMS messages from my Incredible to my PC? I have a thread of like 5000 that i would like to keep but it takes forever to open the thread and type etc. so i would like to transfer it to my PC and then delete it off of my phone. I downloaded SMSbackup+ and successfully backed them up but am not sure what to do next, or if this process is even possible. Thanks in advance for any help.

MyBackup (and other apps), in Market, will enable you to save sms to your sd card, after which it's just a matter of copying them to your PC hard drive.

I use for sync the phone contacts and SMS with my PC the app MyPhone Explorer (a client on phone and a host on the PC).
The connection to PC is either USB or WiFi (I use WiFi ).

MyPhoneExplorer Client - Android

It is a simple and tranparent way to bring the contacts and SMS to the PC
On PC I have my contacts and my SMS in readable form.

How did you accomplish this? I am able to back up recent texts, but not all the way back to the oldest
