Default 2 phones with one gmail account?

I know I can have the same gmail account sync to more than one phone but can 2 phones be registered to the same gmail account? Wouldn't that cause issues with the Market? Would it cause issues with other things as well? Thanks.

I can load my old G1 which is setup still since I was trying to root it but can't. It still works with my gmail account and when I get a new email both phones will go off with their notification sounds. As far as the market goes I am still able to use apps I paid for on the market place with both phones powered on.

Yep you can. You can have 20 in fact. You can have 200 in fact.

And yes, if you purchase an app in one phone, it becomes free on the others to download.

Android ownership is by user, not device ID. You own the apps. You. If you sell the phone to others, others however, cannot use the apps since you have to clear reset everything and he or she has to enter their Google login, and only what he or she owns can be downloaded to the phone.
