Question How many Android phones are still running with 1.5?

Hi everyone,
I was just wondering how many devices are still stuck with Android 1.5?

Thanks

My Eris is as well, for now. I know that a version of 1.6 has been released, but it hasn't hit my phone yet.

htc magic on rogers is still running 1.5

and rogers, being the liars they are, most likely won't be pushing any updates any time soon

Damn more people went out and got droids lol.

We are becoming a serious minority, we could shout discrimination. Maybe we should make "Free 2.1 for all" banners.

The Moment has only been out just over a month; shipped with 1.5 and is still running it. No expected update until Q1/Q2 of 2010.

Default Well

1.5, at least for me with my Eris

still lets me show it off to everyone (even people who don't care about phones/pda's), and make them want to buy one.

Will 2.0 do that better? maybe insofar as having better speed? Who knows. But this HTC Sense and Android OS are stunning.

I don't have a problem with 1.5. I know people who left iPhone for the HTC Hero, and would never go back, despite perceived speed differences.

wow - 27.7% on 1.5! That's pretty substantial!

And to think, I have a paid for app that doesn't run on anything lower than 1.6...makes me kinda upset, especially since I paid for it while it was still compatible with 1.5...

Im in mexico with America Movil Carrier, (telcel)/dext and is still on 1.5 Im so wishing We could get an upgrade for 1.6 at least since my battery life drains really fast, camera apps gets freezy and there are many other little issues with the phone that Im pretty sure will be corrected with the update. Something really concerning is that google is doing nothing to give us all costumers firmware update, specially forgetting people in latin america that is buying their phones! Bad luck for us, the carrier here would never exchange the phone or take it back just because there is no software update...
Any ideas of when will dext be receiving update???

As stated by another moment owner, I have 1.5 on mine. Coming from the land of Crackberry, I am used to being able to get the leaked OS and having it installed on my phone to play with until the official OS is RTM.

I am generally happy with 1.5, and that comes from not playing with 2.0/.1 yet.

I feel the Nexus One will always be two steps ahead of my Eris, and one ahead of the Moto Droid.

I had the G1 then it got updated to 1.5, decided I wanted a iPhone so I went to AT&T. Couldn't get signal, went to Verizon. Just recently bought the Eris since I like the looks better than the Droid. Now I am stuck with 1.5 again for now. Sucky thing is the G1 now has 1.6, lol.

This site wmscott2k... we have the information and confirmation that it IS going to happen, it's a question of when... and for that matter how. OTA updates are bunk for us apparently. Thanks Sprint! =S

i figured more phones have 1.5 then anything else. What phones even run 1.6? Must suck to be them, stuck between Sense and 2.0.

Running 1.5 on my T-Mobile Pulse.

Huawei (the manufacturers of the device) have announced that they're working on a 2.x ROM that's scheduled for release some time around April. However, T-Mobile were cagey when queried about the update. Hopefully they'll get their act together and we'll get on OTA update, but it may be that we have to use more illicit methods to run the stock 2.x ROM rather than the branded Pulse ROM when Huawei finishes their work. This does seem awfully cloak and dagger though, and I don't see why T-Mobile would deny their Pulse users 2.x.
