There seemed to be a lot of speculation about how much battery you could save with a black wallpaper etc on AMOLED phones so I thought I'd do some rigorous-ish experiments to get to the bottom of it.

Curious to see how these figures are attained but the proxy at work blocks the site. Seems like a dark wallpaper won't do much unless you're always on your home screen.
