hey guys

i have an HTC hero whit a custom Roms that runs pretty smooth. im quite happy whit it, but i miss my physical keyboard.

whats the best Android phone whit a physical keyboard ? the only decent one i can think of is the Desire Z.

My bf has the Desire Z and he loves it. I think the only other Android with a hard keyboard currently available in Canada is the Moto Charm, which is obviously nowhere near the same class as the Desire Z.

FWIW - my wife recently upgraded to the HTC Evo Shift - VERY similar hardware to the Z, but a class behind in its newer Sense software - and in my opinion, that hardware is really top-notch. Lots of Hero owners here in the US moving to it and considering it a hands-down upgrade. The newer hardware, even at 800 MHz, is going to really astound you, in my opinion.

HTC confirmed at MWC this month that the Desire Z is getting Gingerbread sometime in Q2 of this year.

The Desire Z is fairly new. It was released in Canada back in November.

The iPhone has a nice accessory that is both a case and a flip out keyboard. I haven't found one for Android devices. I guess there are too many different models for a manufacturer to make one specific to a certain phone.
