diff notifications for diff apps
I know this has been covered, but I cannot find the final answer I need. I came across many tips in many threads to get things set up, which I think I have done properly, but I still can’t get my notifications to be what I want.
I have gone into the individual apps - calendar, sms, and email - and set up the tone I want - the ones I set up in the various folders are there for me to choose.
How does the main menu/settings/sounds/notification on the home screen affect the individual apps settings? It seems to over ride them.
I have been working on this for hours. I found how to set up the media card and transfer files to it - Thanks all! The custom alerts I want are all now available to me.
What is the difference in the home screen menu/settings/sounds/alerts and notifications vs. going into calendar/sms/email settings and selecting them there? Sometime I get the sound I want, sometimes I don’t. I get the settings set up and I get the email working, but the calendar doesn’t. I get the sms working, and then the e mail doesn’t. The in the applications seem to conflict with the overall one on the home screen, which seems to be taking priority over the app settings. I tried silent in the main one then that is what happened to the email, etc. Please help! 800 Verizon and even the walk in centers have mostly uneducated people working in them. I can’t get a consistent or right answer out of them.
PS - UPDATE I was using Profile Valet as a profile manager, and i suspected that may have been throwing a monkey in the wrench, so i uninstalled it to remove that as a possible cause. i look forward to your help. thanks all!
