i tried gsyncit, google calendar sync and they always miss 20% of my entries. I have 10 years worth of important calendar entries (about 20000).

and i know the reason why they miss it because there are sometimes server issues and when google thinks ur spamming, they block you.

so i want to directly offline sync from my outlook.. isnt this SIMPLE thing possible? i'm really starting to get annoyed at android.

What kind of Android do you have? If you have an HTC, it comes with software that syncs with Outlook. Not sure if it will go back that far, but you can try.

As far as syncing with Google and your Android, it is a function of Google not allowing you to go back past a certain date to sync information. I can relate to how you would want to keep this information, but at the same time I have sense lightened up a bit and let it go. I used to keep many years of records in my Blackberry calendar, but just got sick of it feeling bloated and clogged up and taking forever to sync. I finally realized that knowing where I went on Feb 3rd 1999 might not be as important as I thought it was. What I did, was to keep all my old history in Outlook, but then start using Google and Android to sync from this point forward. It is SO nice to have them talking together and playing nice, and to not have to ever do a "hotsync" operation again. I was totally against this at one time, but feel somewhat liberated.

Try HTC Sync v3.0, but not if you are using Outlook 2010 64 bit...

Wanted to share with you that there is an app available in Android Market now named "Blue SyncRoid". I have tried it and works perfect. It syncs contacts and calendars between the android phone and MS Outlook via BLUETOOTH. Made my life easier. Have a look: www.bluesyncroid.com

Just follow the website and simple step by step info on their website. Simple, easy and secure. No need to go to the cloud just to sync your phone contacts and calendars with Outlook ... Blue SyncRoid rocks !

You can automatically synchronize Outlook (or Windows Live Mail) email, contacts, and calendar with your Android device, as long as you have a free Hotmail, MSN Mail, or Live email account. Just add such an account to the standard Android email app. Instructions are here.

Any contact or calendar items will have to be on your Hotmail/MSN/Live account and will not be synchronized with Gmail (which is arguably a good thing) or be searchable with Google Voice Search (which is not a good thing since it works better than the built in voice dialer) but you can still use those contacts to make phone calls, send emails (from whatever account you choose), navigate, etc.

One caveat is that is that you need to keep your Outlook contacts and calendar events on a Hotmail/MSN/Live account in Outlook. Subfolders for email are allowed, but subfolders for Calendar and Contacts are not.

Hi,
