Question Need Help/Advice with Chaging GUI'S

Hi,

Iím thinking about buying an android phone, and I am torn between two. I am considering the Nexus S and the HTC Sensation. I like the look of the Nexus S GUI but I would prefer to have the newer technology in the Sensation. Is there any way I could strip down the Sensation and remove the HTC Sense software and just have a pure version of the android OS from the Nexus S?

Sorry if this seems like a silly question, I donít have a lot if free time to search the forums and the searches I did got me reading into rooting and didnít seem to get a clear answer.

Many Thanks!

It's difficult to tell. For previous HTC phones with unlocked bootloader, it's relatively easy to completely remove sense by flashing CM7 or MIUI. However, Sensation has a locked bootloader, and it seems like none of the devs have started working on unlocking it yet, so at this point we simply do not know if it can be unlocked.

If you don't have time to read up on rooting a specific device and loading a custom ROM then how do you expect to be able to do so?

Or you could just change the launcher to adwlauncher or launcher pro. Easy free apps from the market that change the gui.
