Android market question - gmail sync

Hi,

A friend of mine gave me his Samsung Galaxy S2 so that I can try it out. It has came to my attention that in order to use the android market for all kinds of apps, a gmail sync is required.

Needless to say my friend already constructed a sync for his own gmail account and everytime I try to use the android market a password is required for his account.

I would like to sync my own account if possible but I can't seem to find a way to undo his operation and sync my own account with this phone.

Welcome to AF.com! Unfortunately, for you to access the Android Market with your gmail, you would have to do a factory reset and then start anew with your own gmail account. You need to check with your friend to make sure that is okay with him first, as that will wipe out all of his data on the phone.

This does not work when trying to replace the market gmail account sync. A factory reset is required.
