Default Erasing data for return or selling on.

I've used ProLauncher on my phone and i changed the resolution output.
I might be returning or selling the phone soon i am not sure.
but i need to make sure it it reset to absolute factory settings, and since Android is a semi open sourced system i am not sure.

Need to make sure everything is completely unrecoverable for security purposes, Browsing history and Login details and contacts plus social networks.

So anybody got any extra pointers or light to shed?
usually i don't sell hardware on especially if i used it for online banking.
If i desync the google account it never associates with that phone right?

If you do a factory reset, it will wipe all the phone's applications and data.

However, if your phone has a microSD card, you will need to either remove the SD card, or format it as well to remove all data on that.

Factory reset is either under external storage menu or privacy menu, depending on which version of Android you have.
