Question Move (relocate) contacts from sim?

Hi

I am using vanilla android 2.2 on my huawei ideos.

I have been getting 'out of space on sim' when I get new messages. I used to be able to store a ton of messages, but now I can only have a handful before it complains.

I don't know how to tell what is stored on the sim, but I guess there are two possibilities:
  1. The sim is getting too full of contacts.
  2. The phone was previously storing message in phone/sd memory, but for some reason has decided to start storing them on the sim.
If it is option 1, I need to know how to change my contacts from [gmail+sim] to [gmail+phone/sd].

If it is option 2, I need to know how to tell it to put messages on the phone/sd instead.

How do I tell what is taking all the space on my sim, and how do I do the above?

Thanks!

Bump! Surely someone must have some idea of how to do these things? Thanks!

Welcome to the Android Forums!

In the Android Market you'll find a number of apps designed to move contacts from a SIM card to the phones internal memory. I believe most are free apps so you might want to try one or more to see if they help your situation any.
