Confused How can I copy my SD contents to my NEW SD card?

So I bought my phone (Xperia mini - amazing device) it came with a 2gb SD card, clearly that wont be enough, but in the few weeks ive had it ive already got so much stuff on there, when I get my new card I dont just want to start again.

So is it possible just to copy its contents onto a folder on my PC, then transfer them back over onto my new SD card? Will it all just carry on as normal when I put my new SD in with the things on it?
