Default [Fix] Apple Headset with Mic and Remote.

For those who can't get the mic to work with the Apple Headset, you have to hold the middle button before plugging it in your phone for it to work.

I can't wait to try this. I was always irritated that I couldn't use my old iPhone headset since it's a fair bit more comfortable than the ones most Android manufacturers give with their phones. (there are some exceptions, of course)

I took advice what you have said, it works now, now my external mic has voice input and it was bothering me since I had my headset! Thanks!

This is a very cool discovery (holding center button down), but does anyone know of an adapter that we could just leave on the headphones that would convert it back to standard so we don't have to push the button every time?

Thanks

An app might do it? I use Jays Headset Control and it picks up button presses no problem. Granted, I've not tried it with iPhone headphones specifically, just 3rd party headphones designed for use with an iPhone.
