I have been looking at reviews on the new droid razr, and the non removable battery scares me a little. the phone will probably end up being rooted, so that may play into as well.
any info for a newbie is much appreciated!

wow i i'm in exactly the same boat. from researching, it seems the nexus is the way to go if you don't mind not having an sd slot (retarted moved i think since verizon got rid of unlimited data this summer). i like the rezound a lot but there were a lot of problems with previous htc phones (dinc and tbolt) and the rezound might share some of the parts from them (the radio from t-bolt, etc.) and the razr doesn't have a removeable battery and also doesn't have HD (another brilliant move).
so pick your poison
