Question Getting notification sounds to match everywhere.

OK, I have googled and searched the forums to no avail. It seems I have the opposite problem that most people have.

I am trying to find a way to make all of my notification sounds match quickly and easily. Currently when I choose a new notification sound I have to go into Sound Settings, 2 Email Account Settings, and SMS Settings. I feel like there should be a way in these apps to just choose something like "System Sound" and when I change it in Sound Settings it would match everywhere.

Anybody have any advice on this problem?

This might vary between manufacturers, but on HTC phones, you can set a default ringtone and notification sound. Then, for every app that can play a notification, you set it to use the default sound.

This way, all you have to do is change the actual default ringtone, and all your apps automatically pick up the change.

Hmm. I have a Samsung Fascinate, and I can't seem to find the option default anything under the notification sound option in the SMS app or email app.
