Default New android tablet owner... having a couple of problems, please help!

Hi all,

I've just bought an android tablet and started using it, its a NATPC M013S.

The android market on it is incomplete and the browser is very slow.

So I'm hoping someone could send me a link to download the full android market and give me some advice on the best browser to use and how to improve the speed.

Thank you

Paul

What exactly do you mean by the Android Market is "incomplete"? Note that no matter how many times you install the market apk, apps which are not compatible to your device will never appear even if you specifically search for them. It will just give you "no results".

Thanks for the reply... as you may be able to tell, I'm a complete novice.

I assumed that if I bought an android tablet it would be compatible with the full android market...

An example of what I mean is that you tube, angry birds and amazon don't appear in the list when I search for them and the only way I seem to be able to get them is to go down the apk route, but often they don't work.

However take angry birds as an example... as mentioned above 'angry birds' doesn't appear in the version of android market that I have, but 'angry birds seasons' does. Wouldn't they both be either there or not there, as they are both from Rovio?

And on the browser question above, it has 'Dolphin' preloaded... any comments on that, is it good/bad/ok?

Any advice gratefully recevied!

Paul

I use Dolphin. Great browser.

Anyway, try going to Android Market on a PC, then login and search for the apps you want. Even if they are not compatible for your device, they will be found. However, they will have a banner saying if they are compatible or not. If they are compatible, just click on install on the browser on the PC (make sure your tablet is connected to internet at that time).

Does your device contain the offical android market?

I believe that if Google doesn't license a device then manufacturers cannot legally include the real android market. So instead manufacturers include some third party app market (aka not official).

Based on my googling and looking at screenshots of the tablet it doesn't have the official but has an "App Market" but Amazon says "Offical UK Android Market" in the product info so i'm not really sure.

I'm thinking it mustn't be the right version then... thats not good news!

Anyone know where I can get good apps if not the android market?
