Default New Phones Many Choices!

I finally cut my contract with the Iphone on AT&T. So I am looking for a new phone.

Currently I really like the Milestone/Droid, with the sliding QWERTY, the design is offsetting, but its ok. I am just worried though, with all the new high-end devices coming out left and right, Nexus One, Scorpion, Supersonic, etc, will the Milestone still live it out till I want a different phone? That would be around Nov/Dec. Or should I get something different? Wait?

Another thing, since they are imposing a lock down on the files in the phone, does that mean no overclocking or rooting the Milestone from Telus?

If you keep waiting, you'll never get a new phone. There's always something with more powerful processor/more RAM/whatever coming out just around the corner. Presently, the soonest will be the next slew of HTC phones in March/April: the Bravo/Incredible being the one with specs identical to the N1. The Supersonic, who knows? Not enough info released, no physical anything "leaked" so far: it might come out in the middle of this year, it might be the end of this year. Even so, the only thing it has got over the Nexus One is the 4.3 inches screen. If the HD2 is too big for you (it is for me), then it's nothing to wait for.

Yea, coming from a HTC FUZE and Iphone, the Milestone seems like a step up, I think I am going to go Milestone, thanks for the help, and yea, I think the HTC HD 2 is too big, making the Supersonic large as well, thanks for the input!
