Default Screen remains on, and dosen't time out

I have been using the HTC Nexus and now the Samsung Galaxy NOTE. I regularly use a headset.

Originally I was just using a generic headset (wired) and when I answered a phone call, the screen remained on and will not time out. When riding on a bike, this was not noticed until I reached my destination. Occasionally the phone will dial out a umber as it got activated by the brushing. I though this may be because I was using a generic headset.

Since then, I got a blue-tooth Panasonic headset, and it happened the same way. Now I have upgraded to the SAMSUNG NOTE and it still does that.

Even a missed call, leaves the screen on.

This is quite frustrating as the phone battery dies out much faster.

Any Ideas anyone ?

Have you checked how long the screen time out is?

Does it happen when you don't use a headset? Have you tried rebooting?

Check to see if the screen time-out option in your music player is ticked. Sometimes plugging in headphones will turn on your music player by default, and if it is set to not time out, it will just stay on.
