Default Create a txt file

Hi,

I am trying to troubleshoot an app. The company who makes the app has asked me to create a .txt log file, run the app and send them the file. How do I create a blank text file on my android?

Thanks

Use a file manager like EStrongs File Explorer for create a blank .txt file

But to create a phone log file I think I would use aLogcat and export the log as .txt (send as mail).

In general we developer work with ADB. Try install Android SDK and learn how to run ADB. It is an extremely valuable debugging tool for developers. So is logcat. Those are tools we use to get log appearing. Then use those tool to export the log out. It is easier to use PC to do such stuff. You connect your Android device to the PC in order to use ADB or logcat.

Awsome, thanks for the suggestions. I was able to do what I needed by just copying an existing txt file, renaming it and deleting the contents....a bit dirty but got the job done.

I will do some playing around with your suggestions so I can handle something like this a bit better next time.

Thanks
