Default Titanium Backup

Well I had Cyanogen rom running on my phone for a good few weeks and all was working fine until yesterday when I was getting force closes on all my apps. So I rebooted the phone and then it was stuck in a endless bootloop and just wouldnt boot up, I tried everything, but it just wouldn't boot.

So I done a fresh install and had to get all my apps back, luckily I had some apps and data backed up with Titanium.

But now cause this happened I want to make a weekly or every few days back up of my entire rom with apps.

Is there any way to do a scheduled back up of my entire rom plus apps with Titanium?

I see App+Data back up option but is that an entire rom backup?

Edit - Actually I guess App+Data is just the application data

So question still stands

App + data is all your user apps and user app data. I believe the pro version of TiBU can do schedules (not sure if the free version can) it is the 3rd tab on the main screen.

I don't think titanium can do a backup of the whole rom. (I just started using it though so I may be wrong)

You can do a full backup of your rom including apps and their data with clockworkmod, rom manager, whatever recovery you use. People refer to this as a nandroid backup.

Neat thing here is, if you have the paid ver of titanium, and you do nandorid backups (and keep them on your sd) you don't have to use titanium to backup your apps anymore, they're backed up in the nandroid backup and titanium nowadays can extract and restore apps and app data from a nandroid without you actually restoring that whole nandroid backup.

example: you're running rom A and made a nandroid of it before you installed rom B. You want to install and use app Z on rom B exactly how you used to use it on rom a. Titanium can extract app z and its data from rom A's nandroid and restore it into rom b.

Thanks for the replies.

I have the paid version of TB was worth the money and helped me a lot.

Will just start doing nandroid backups.

Does anyone have any idea what cause Cyanogen to go into a bootloop when it was working fine for weeks?

Not sure why you would get boot loops but if it happens again I would try booting into recovery then wipe cache and dalvik then try to boot again. There is also a fix permissions option in recovery if you are getting force closes on system apps.

sometimes file system can act up .
It's good to do fsck on /system and /data via once in 45 days . I suppose you are using ext2/4 Files system .
Best go for a nandroid backup -restore cycle every month
