Default Market \ Appstore and multiple devices

We're getting on of my kids an Android tablet for Christmas. He's too young to have an e-mail address, so I was just going to set it up with mine when I register with the Amazon Appstore and the Market. I don't want him buying apps without my permission, though. Is there a way to password protect purchaces on this one device?

This has been discussed before. The best you cab do for Android Market is get an app to password protect the market app. Amazon has parental controls.
