Default Adware on Android

Hello all!

I recently have been checking out games in the Android market and have probably downloaded over 50 games. I like them and would like to keep them, but it seems that one of them has started sending bogus notifications to my phone that say stuff like "you still have an unclaimed iPad...", etc. and if I click on it, it opens the internet app and take me to a webpage trying to sell something.

Is there a way to figure out which application is doing it, or would I have to get rid of all my downloaded apps to get rid of the bogus notifications?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

steiney

Download Addons Detector to find it. Can then clean the app if you like with App Shield or can just uninstall it. Also if rooted AdFree is a great app too.

AirPush Detector will tell you which apps you installed are offending.

Thanks to both of you! I will check those apps out. I forgot to mention, I have "Lookout" free version installed on my phone, and it has completely failed to catch the app.

I have a sneaking suspicion that the offending app is "Andy", an attempt at a substitute for iPhone's Siri. The ads started shortly after I installed that app, if I remember correctly.

I just ran a scan with "Addons Detector" and it turns out the problem was "The Stupid Test". Boy do I feel stupid! Ha.
