Default Help with Iphone vs Android decision

I have an Iphone 4 now modded with unlimited tethering now. I use it for my kids Itouch and my Toshiba Thrive when I don't have network wifi. So, we have purchased many of apps for iphones and hate to loose them. BUT, I hate the little screen of the Iphone. I had an Attrix for a few weeks and really liked it BUT, I use OUTLOOK to sync my contacts, tasks, and calenders and found that to be a pain with the android. This was back about April. I don't know if this has changed any since then.

So, give my your thoughts on my deliema. I need to be able to tether.

If you are talking about desktop outlook sync (not exchange server), all manufacturers are moving away from that. Even WindowsPhone 7 has no native desktop outlook sync. In any case some manufacturers still do include a sync suite including Samsung and HTC.

As far as tethering goes, if you have your iPhone with AT&T, you should be able to grandfather your unlimited plan with a new phone. They may tell you otherwise, but you can push the issue.

Virtually all android phones have tethering or hotspot capability baked in. If you're asking about the ability to circumnavigate the providers (unfair IMHO) added cost tethering plans? That's illegal and/or against providers TOS and not a discussion for this site!

For desktop Outlook Sync, Samsung/HTC/Sony provides a program bundled with their phones in a CD for that. Motorola has none, but there are third party programs like Companionlink and MyPhoneExplorer that can handle it.

Maybe Motorola does not got the function tosync outlook, but I can use it with my HTC. Maybe you can download some Mail apps.
