Hey guys. I've been trying to find any information out on the interwebz with specifics of how to setup a marketplace similar to Google's. I know it can be done seeing that Amazon has one as well as the us army. There are also other not mainstream marketplaces out there. Anyone know how to set this up and can share some knowledge?

I'm also immediately interested in knowing how the marketplace sends an app to the phone. When I click download on my phone does the phone send a notification to the server and then the server pushes the app or does my phone pull the .apk file directly from the server? Knowing this will help me get started diagramming the system.
