Hello everyone, i have had a slight problem with the phone inwhich i recently bought; Acer Stream s110.

its a decent phone.. 1gz 512RAM 512ROM AMOLED screan etc etc..

but i have one issue, maybe its my mobile service provider maybe not. but i have been through all the settings (no im not new to droid, this problem is odd)

So, my phone sends and SMS of my location everytime.. but since its using optus (my service provider) its giving me strange locations which arnt exact, thus sending me a message almost every minute.

So how do i stop recieving SMS messages saying this? its never done this before with my previous phones, and i am using the same sim card.. is it a setting on the phone itself? because i cant find it..


if you have any solutions i will be very thankful!

Ok
Go to Stock MMS/SMS/Messaging app .
Go to SMS settings menu (vial Left button click or whatever you have )

You should see

Cell broadcast(CB) settings

CB Activation

Switch it off .(uncheck it)
