Hi there, Has anyone here used the 'appy Christmas offer from t-mobile for £20 worth of free apps? I ask, because I have a new phone and it should have come with that offer. I have the text giving the link to go and choose my apps, but it doesn't work and no-one at T-Mob seems able to sort this out for me. I just go round in circles (for the last 8 days!) and many 25p calls to their help desk.

I'm just curious what I'm missing out on here - would I actually want any of these apps? The advertising gives some hints, for instance there is a PDF scanner from phone application that sounds interesting, but then there's a free app in the market that does that. Is there anything really good available?

Well, I managed to get my Apps in the end. I am still deciding about the final one to choose, as, to be honest, non of those on offer are very good. I should have chosen 7 from about 8 games and 8 utilities, except that some of the "utilities" are no more than games anyway, and not all of them are compatible with the Vivacity!

The way around the going in circles problem turned out to be: don't try to use the link given in the text from T-Mobile, but instead type it in manually into a browser. Simple, when you get round to thinking about it. Why the supplied "live" link in the SMS goes to a fault page, while typing the characters into a browser works, I have no idea.
