Question Advice on purchasing a phone: Galaxy Note vs. Nexus Prime

Hi Everyone,

I'm torn between buying one of the two super phones: Samsung Galaxy Note and the Samsung Galaxy Nexus / Google Nexus Prime.

I've done some research using Google about the phones.

Galaxy Note vs Galaxy S2 vs Galaxy Nexus - the Best of the Best?

Samsung Galaxy Note Vs Google Nexus Prime (Galaxy Nexus)

Comparing Google Nexus Prime vs. Samsung Galaxy Note - Nine Reasons for the Google Nexus Prime - VERSUS IO

It is my understanding that the Note is superior from what I have understood:

1. Bigger Screen of the Note makes it really awesome visually

2. Marginally better resolution for the Note as well

3. MUCH longer battery life on the Note although it said it is because of the screen size which begs me to ask: does that mean in effect it will be the same as the Nexus Prime's?

4. Note will also get upgraded to ICS

5. Note and NP have both got great screens - Super AMOLED

6. Galaxy Note has a better camera

7. Galaxy Note does or does not have a MICRO SD slot? I have read mixed reports on this. But, I am assuming both have that option of expandable memory. Am I correct?

Given all this I am concluding that the Note is a much better phone.

Am I right? Or am I missing something crucial? I don't "have" to buy a phone right now so is there another better phone with quad core coming out? I don't want to buy the phone and then 2 months later or in Q2 2012 have a new Quad core phone come out.

What do you guys think?

Please help me out here

Note and SGS2 is better than the Galaxy Nexus IMO. I'm not very much into the 'pure Google experience' which is basically the only thing that the GNex has to offer IMO. ICS ain't really a big deal for me based on the features its supposed to have. They really aren't anything people can't live without.

Personally, there is no reason to get a GNex over a Note or any flagship of the major manufacturers (HTC, Samsung, Motorola), especially since it doesn't have a card slot nor can it.be mounted to a PC as a mass storage device.

I'm sorry I'm confused. Does the Nexus Prime not have a card slot or does the Note not have a card slot? And by card slot you mean a Micro SD slot, right? To expand the memory? Am I understanding this correctly? Sorry if this is a silly question. I just want to make sure I've got this right because like I wrote above, I have read that the Note has a Micro SD Slot and I've also read that it does not - so I'm confused.

Galaxy Nexus does not have a microSD card slot. Not sure about the Note - have not seen one yet.

The Note does have an SD card slot. I have a 32 GB Class 10 in mine currently.

Coming from someone who has owned both the Galaxy Nexus, and now the Galaxy Note. I would say if the size of the Note doesn't bother you, your decision is made. The note is such a nice device, it's so quick, and it seems to show better performance than the Galaxy Nexus had. Plus the Note has a stylus if you enjoy design, or taking quick notes. The Note is by far the best device I've ever owned, and I don't know if I could live without such a big nice screen anymore.

OOoooh wow. Okay. It's decided then. I'm buying the note as soon as I get my next paycheck.

Thank you, guys. I really appreciate all the help. Thank you!

Yep, if size isnt an issue the Note is the best phone currently available.

If I had to buy a phone right now it would be the Galaxy Note.
