Angry return a phone from verizon to bestbuy

Hello all I'm new to the site just wondering if you're all fed up with Verizon return policy as much as I am. I went in to a Verizon store recently to purchase a new phone after the latest update for the TB made my cell signal horrendous. Figure there trying to push people to the newer phone at least that's my only reasoning I can come up with. So I go in after seeing the razr which I do enjoy the phone not the battery life which was assured to match my TB life it doesn't btw. I asked the usual question is anything newer coming out I was assured no know not more than 20 days after purchase the razr maxx is coming out wtf. anyway thanks to there great 14 day return policy which bs anyway I'm stuck with it now but I was wondering has anyone ever tried or was able to return a phone bought from Verizon to best-buy without a receipt to exchange for a newer version of the phone.

I have worked for BestBuy mobile and you will not be able to return it. You can't buy something somewhere else and return it to BestBuy, they aren't just going to overlook a several hundred dollar loss like that.

but what if you told them you bought it there Ive returned things there before without a receipt. I normally wouldn't do this I'm just tired of Verizon's return I mean 14 days I would have waited if they didn't lie to me about other versions of the phone coming out. And I'm not looking for the money I would just like to trade it for the Razr Maxx

So you are going to attempt to rip off Best Buy because you don't like Verizons return policy? How in the world is that fair for Best Buy? You knew Verizons return policy was 14 days, why didn't you just buy the phone from Best Buy in the first place and gotten the longer return policy? You say you aren't looking for money but you are trying to rob Best Buy out of a newer phone.

Take you problems up with Verizon.

I tried they said I was outside of my 14 days so it was to late. I tried to explain to them that I would not have bought the phone if I was not lied to but they didn't seem to care.

I'm very surprised Verizon isn't assisting you more. I have been a Verizon customer for over 10 years and they have treated me and my family very well. Whenever a problem occurs, it seems like they bend over backwards to accommodate our problems.

Here is what I'd do mate, call Verizon first on the phone and demand a manager (LOCATED in the US), don't be transferred to someone in India. Explain your issue nicely and tell them what happened and what you want from them. If they do not cooperate (and I hate doing this not just at verizon, but any store) go down to the store and speak to an employee. Same thing, if they are not willing to help demand to speak to the manager. Aside from that, not much else you can do. If I still am not happy with the results, I usually lean in towards them about 8 inches from their face and let them know i'm not happy. It helps to be a big person, so if you're a scrawny little guy then I suggest not doing that.

I'm just as shocked as you are if your story is an honest one. Like I said, VZW is our home, cell, and internet provider and they have been nothing but A+ work.

Be persistent and use your body's build to your advantage.

Their customer service and lies is the very reason I took all 5 of my smartphones on my plan to t mobile. They don't care about their customers at all.

I now have t mobile and sprint and I have been very happy with them.
