Default Phone calendar...Local and Local@Phone ??

Does anyone know the difference between these two Calendars on the android system. I'm mainly using Business Calender and I can't work out the difference between the two calendars.

If I use the normal Calendar on android instead of Business Calendar app then the two calendars are called Phone calendar - Local...and Phone calender - Phone Storage. I can enter an event in either calendar and select which calender to show, I just can't work out why there are two and what each one does different to the other.

Just planning ahead here as still new to android and dont want to rely on one calender to find out a problem down the track. I'm on motorola atrix using t-mobile.

thanks...and hi to all - first post.

Odd, what's your phone? Local is an odd name, I would have expected one to be your Google Account's calendar and the other is the phone storage only calendar that doesn't sync to Google. Try adding a different event to each calendar, just a random one for testing, and see which one syncs to calendar.google.com. Basically, the one that doesn't is your phone only calendar, and the one that does is your Google calendar.

Hi, I'm using a Motorola Atrix and android 2.3.4.. I've tried test entry in each diary, only calendar (3) below actually syncs with google calendar.

If I use the standard android calendar and go into Manage Calendars I can see;

1. Local
Google
- expanded shows
Phone calendar
synced, visible (both sync and eye available)

2. Phone calendar
Phone storage
- expanded shows
Phone calendar
not synced, visible (sync not available but eye is)

3. myname @ googlemail.com
- expanded shows
myname @ googlemail.com
synced, visible (both sync and eye available)

So, this looks like (2) is the actual phone calendar as this one can't be synced anywhere else. But what is calendar (1). Why do I have two google calendars yet calendar (1) is still only local to the phone and wont sync with google calendar.

I've even managed to get google calendar to sync with outlook on the 2 way setting and thats working fine, ie. changes on my phone in calendar (3) will sync with outlook, and vice versa.

I now have everything working as I need it, but am still left very curious as to what this other calendar is (1). Would love to know what it is if anyone knows? (p.s its not SD storage card calendar as I've tried taking that out and also deleting facebook account but it was still there). Grrr..what on earth is it?

Motorola has some sort of online service, that I am not familar with, that ties up and syncs with phones. Maybe its that?
