Default Question about paying on the android market

Is it possible to pay for apps in the android market without using your credit card account?

Not positive, but I believe you can add the app purchase price to your monthly bill. Like I said though not sure. I have only ever used my credit card for purchases. I find it easier to save my CC info on my phone and purchase using that method. Although I am the only person that uses my phone. Probably not a great method if others use your phone.

You need a Google checkout account to purchase from the market. To set that up you'll need a credit card.

I don't buy apps from the Market myself because of its limited payment options. If I need to buy anything I'll buy it straight from the developer.

I think there are certain wireless providers that will let you just tack it onto your monthly bill.

Barring that, some convenience stores will sell essentially what are prepaid credit cards--kind of like a gift certificate for anything. You can get one of those and use that as your "credit card" on the Android Market.

I'm glad my cellular provider (US Cellular) doesn't offer that option. If they did, I could get in some trouble. Haha. (If they do, I don't wanna know about it.)

As said before, you need a Google Checkout account, but when I got my phone, I got a $20 gift card for Android Market, through US Cellular. That worked, until I spent it all.

Debit cards work, too.
