Default Droid RAZR now or Quad-Core Smartphone later?

I'm looking to eventually buy a new phone soon, and I have been wondering if I should get a dual-core RAZR now, or if I should wait to get a quad-core phone for Verizon, whenever that may come out.

Not only that but I wouldn't want one of the first quad core phones to hit the market. It is likely to be rushed and not optimized for max performance. The are just now getting the most out of dual core devices. I'm sure some manufacturer will rush a quad to the market just to get sales for being the first quad core device on the market.

Id get the Razr Maxx right now if my upgrade was available. Unfortunately i have to wait until the end of April to upgrade. Im sure a better phone will be announced by then though.

Get the best phone thats available. Right now, the current software runs smoothly on dual core phones. Theres no need to have a quad core phone.

When quad core phones are released, it will take a while for developers to write or update apps to utilize those cores. High-end games (or other apps) that wont run on dual core phones are a long ways away.

By the time quad core phones are released, apps are written, alpha tested, and beta tested to where everything runs together seamlessly, your next upgrade will probably be available.
