Default Is there any way to change the clock on the lock screen?

Is there any way to change the clock on the lock screen without rooting the phone or using an app (like WidgetLocker) that kills the battery?

I'm using an LG Optimus 2X btw. Thanks for any help.

No. Those are the only ways to do it.

Where did you get the idea that WidgetLocker would kill your battery? It has virtually no effect on battery life (it's responsible for less than 1% of total battery drain).

I have used widget locker on my last 4 android phones and have never had any issues at all with battery drain. I highly recommend WidgetLocker to everyone!

I've read multiple comments that WidgetLocker kills nearly 50% of the battery while the screen is asleep overnight. Anyone here experience anything like that?

I've been using it since it was released about 2 years ago and don't think I have ever seen over 2-3% battery usage.

Widgetlocker itself is not the battery drain, its more of what you put in it. If you put a weather widget on it, then another one in your homescreen, you got two widgets refreshing every hour hence more battery usage
