I have heard many complaints about failing micro-usb connectors on phones. They can only last for so many connections then they start to fail.

I think they should move on to something better. I think the magsafe from apple is a cool idea. Maybe something like that on a smaller scale.

All I know is I'm tired of phones with bad micro usb connectors.

I don't think the problem is that it's a microUSB connector, but rather that they chose to use a cheap version of it. I have many devices that use the same size microUSB connector and they have been trouble free for years.

This seems to be a weak spot in the design of some phones that should have been avoided.
