I have a generic no-name tablet with Android 4.0, ICS. There's no integrated English dictionary with the keyboard, so there are no spelling suggestions other than from the custom dictionary and all text typed in apps like the email app gets underlined in red. So I loaded a couple of third party keyboards that do have the dictionary and now get spelling suggestions above the keyboard when typing, but the text continues to be underlined in red in the app. So it seems that the app spell checking uses a different source than the keyboard dictionary. I'd like to find a way to install a dictionary so the in-app spell check works and stops underlining in red. I really like the default ICS keyboard, so I'd love to have it work with that.

And you actually like the default ICS keyboard? Yuck!

Most apps w text entry... Default email app, touchdown app, word processor, etc.
