May have buggy Chinese software. No Google Market or Google apps? Amazon app store is OK as long as one is in the USA.

Shenzhen Lanyu Electronic Co., Ltd.
Shenzhen, Guangdong, China.

...good luck with tech support and updates.

There are nine million bicycles in Beijing.
There are nine million Android tablet makers in Shenzhen.

Default X10 Airpad 7p w ICS - why not?

I can vouch for the X10 Airpad 7P with Ice Cream Sandwich - it's marketed in US by X10, but looks identical to the [Chinese?] Ployer Momo9 product which you can find on various sites.

It's targeted as a Kindle Fire competitor (e-reader), but does offer more capability with Android apps.

It's functional, and you can install Google Market application in addition to the Amazon AppStore (I have been able to do that).

Unfortunately, other Google Apps dont seem to work properly (Maps, Gmail).

Netflix is also buggy with no video.

Use ES File Explorer for access to samba shares, and can watch video on remote linux or windows servers - this is very nice!! No lag in performance, which is impressive.

Its a Wi-Fi only tablet and I use my iPhone 4S for personal hotspot, so it's great to have on the go.

I use email, kindle ereader, ip camera viewer, webdav client, box, dropbox, skype and opera mini browser.

So far, I have found that it's great for my needs and happy with purchase.

Ive actualy am now looking at the ones for under a $100 with a bit less speed and ram and android 2.2

But its very close in specs speed wise to my LG OV and same android version. also VIA chipsets with I trust more. They know small chips.

And if Im gonna get burned, $70 is better then $150
And jump into a Google tablet this summer for $200ish

I can't see spending more then $100 when I just can't wait for google. So it has to be out of date n cheap like my OV

found this site
Android Tablet Forum : Forums covering all Android Tablets

buttt loads of rom n mods for the VIA 8650 chipset, doesn't seem to matter who makes it. That VIA 8650 is a great chip, VIA made it on purpose so folks could sell $100 tablets. But still has the quality you expect.

Well the admin of slatedroid.com gave that one a thumbs up.
Id have to assume its gonna be harder to get a better recommendation for a $100 or less pad.

"got one of those, love it since it has custom firmware on it. corrects the wifi issue and working google market "
