Default Listening for "boot completed event" questions?

So I just got an LG Optimus V on Wed, and so far Im loving it.... As Im sure you know it is lacking in internal storage though.... I installed the SDK and changed the default install location to the SD card, but I have a question.

When I use app2sd to try to move some apps to the SD card it tells me that they "Listen for boot completed event" and I shouldn't move them. From searching around I assume that is because most of them start some sort of service when the phone boots for notifications etc... Is that right basically?

And if I move an app that says that, lets say Words With Friends, will it launch whatever it needs to when I run the app, and will it stay running when I quit the app? I assume in this case a background process to notify me when it's my turn....
