hey all,

did a factory reset the other night. prior to reset, copied all files from phone to desktop pc. is it possible to restore my contacts from this backup or not? google didn't seem to sync them.

No. The contact files are in a system storage bin in the phone memory which was not accessible from your PC if you were not rooted.

Also, Google would not sync phone contacts, and would not sync if you had disabled background sync and not synced it manually.
