Not sure if this is the right place but I am curious if anyone has ordered a phone directly from the Motorola website? I am thinking of getting the RAZR MAXX and just paying full retail instead of extending my contract with Verizon. The price is the same through Verizon but tax adds ~$40 vs getting it from Motorola.

So if anyone has gotten a phone directly from Motorola what was your experience? Any delays in shipping, or anything else?

Aren't there any high street retailers in town that stock them?

moto used to be quite lax in supplying new phones to retailers, but I think thanks to android they've caught up a bit. I would find a retailer in town that sells the sim-free model. Also ask if they have a repair centre for moto

(carphone warehouse in UK does this.)
