That can be quite common among ALL smart phones, it's not just a HTC issue.

It most probably won't get ice cream sandwich. If you can, try and get the Samsung gs2, or galaxy nexus. I know they'll probably cost you more than the dhd but it'll be worth it than being lumped with gingerbread until 2014.

I'll agree with that. I have the DHD and whilst it's a cracking phone, it's mid spec (maybe even low) compared to current models. Most newer phones are dual core and there look to be quad core phones announced at MWC at the end of the month. The Nexus and the S2 were mentioned earlier in the thread, I'd definitely look at getting either of those over the DHD.
