Default Apps running in background...

Hey all,

I'm a new Android user and have a Droid Razr. I installed the Dolphin HD web browser, and sometimes it uses a lot of my CPU even when it's "minimized" or whatever you call it.

I heard that task killers aren't really recommended, so how the heck do I stop the browser from killing my battery by using up the CPU all day? There's no "close" button...

Right now it's using 21% of my CPU and all I have is Google homepage up! What could it possibly be doing? And the other day it was using like 200 Mb of ram. Seems ridiculous to just let it run for all eternity.

Maybe I'm just trying to micromanage my phone too much? Being new to Android and the phone itself, I wanted to keep an eye on processes and data transmission. I just don't feel confident that "leaving it be" won't cause m CPU to drain my battery, or for some rogue background process eating up my data plan.

Any advice or help?

Thanks.

When you are in the Dolphin browser keep pressing the back button. Eventually you will get a "Do you with to exit" massage. You can even clear the program cache from this screen. Select exit to close the browser. Try this and see if it help.

I've been using the browser for over a year now an have not had it cause any performance issues.

If you press menu while using the browser there should be an option to exit. This will stop it running in the background and draining your battery.

would you say.... that you are on the browser 21% of the time you have the phone in your hands and on? searching .. surfing... reading ...

unless it is a bad app... which most the time it is not!... you do not need to watch the memory. that is a DOS/Windows world issue.

try the "leaving it be" plan for a week.. you and the phone might be happier

Hey thanks guys, I didn't even know about the exit option...

Another question, since I'm here... how do I uninstall Live Wallpapers? I got carried away and I have tons of really low res ones that are ugly. I can't find an option to remove them :/

If you go to settings, applications, manage applications, they should be there so just scroll down until you find them and uninstall.
