Default How do I remove an icon from the menu "taskbar"

This pic is the "taskbar" I'm referring to. Before, I only had the Phone, Messaging, Browser, and Applications icon there.

Then I accidentally added Contacts there by long pressing the icon from the application list.

How do I remove the Contacts icon??? I can't find a way

Are you not able to long press and drag it out of the tray or up to a trashcan?

What phone do you have and on what carrier?

I can't long press the icon at all so the icon can't be dragged.

Hmmm, I remember on a phone I used to have that I could only change the icons in the tray while I was in the application drawer, have you tried that?
