Thumbs up Galaxy Y VS Gio

Hey guys my first post on the first android phone im going to buy
Im bored with my blackberry
was looking through my choices and the specifications im looking for are
-3G
-Long runtime
-Mid price (£70)
i was comparing the samsung mini to the samsung y
and samsung y won but before i was ready to commit ive found the gio which is slightly older has a better screen
(some comparison sites are showing 25 days standby? lol bugged?)

are there any other phones around the £70 price mark im missing?
which one of those phones gives the longest battery life with and without tweaking?
And which will retain price longer as im looking to keep for a while.
and should i still consider the galaxy mini its processor is 600mhz

thanks alot i will appreciate quick responses as i want to get my first android as soon as possible.

At slightly more the Orange San Francisco is an excellent phone for the money £89 or 99 for the San Fran 2. Have the San Fran original and its a massively underated phone imo . 3.5"screen 800x400! 528mz processor so not the fastest, but easily unlocked and de-oranged + rooted in 20mins. Heres a link hope im allowed to link btw not sure on forum rules

you can stick froyo 2.2 maybe 2.3 not sure but i have 2.2 and it whizzes along once you remove all the old orange crap

I own the Gio and love it. So cheap, so easy to mod and root and it is very stable.

Not one problem.
