sgs2 (optus) black screen, lag and random reboot
Hello all.
I have a SGS II running android 2.3.6 with Optus and am finding that there are some issues abroad :/
firstly, its a great phone, but, after searching for a while and checking out a lot of these threads, i have discovered many share the same problem as me.
the problem being:
- the random reboot of the phone (sometimes just switching off)
- the intense lag sessions
- and not to forget the black (blank) screens when opening randoms apps (including the message, call or phonebook). noting that the top pull-down pane still works like a charm and when you press the home button, it lags like hell but you get to the home screen... not that anything works.
its practically a brick but don't want to write it off just yet.
any ideas on how to fix it? as i said, it seems to be a common problem, usually claimed to be an app problem, but i've tried giving it a full wipe, and it still happens. its not a lack of memory as when i check it out, its running at about 400mb and the CPU isn't being overrun that much either... as you can guess, this has me stumped.
so, chuck anything that comes to mind and lets see if we can figure this out =]
i've got a whiteboard, and a marker, and i'm not afraid to use them! =]
