Default Swype

I've found Swype much faster than tapping out texts, but it does one thing often that I'm wondering how to stop. Let's say I'm swyping the word "the". Sometimes it will take the T, add a space, then make the "he" a separate word. I don't mind if "the" becomes "t he", but if the word is longer, it can easily end up changing - e.g. "consider" becomes "c insider" and "together" becomes "t other".

Does the "error tolerance vs fast response" setting have anything to do with this? How can I make Swype more accurate?

I think its when you linger over a letter too long, or when the response breaks from moving your finger too fast, the app doesn't recognize the trace. I personally have the error tolerance vs fast response as closer to "fast response" and I feel it works better that way.
